WithSecure keeps pace with how threats are evolving
WithSecure has been named among Notable Vendors in The Cybersecurity Incident Response Services Landscape, Q3 2026, published by Forrester. The report provides an overview of vendors that offer professional services – delivered as retainers, subscriptions, or on-demand engagements – that help organizations prepare for, detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents.
We believe Forrester’s landscape reflects how far incident response has had to evolve. Providers are no longer judged only on how they handle traditional threats such as data breaches, ransomware, malware, insider threats, business email compromise, and OT and cloud compromises. The category now also spans an expanding set of AI-related incidents, including AI-enabled attacks and the compromise, misuse, or accidental abuse of enterprise AI systems, models, and agentic workflows.
Being named among the Notable Vendor by Forrester in the Cybersecurity Incident Response Services Landscape reflects for us the strength of our Co-Security Services approach to preparing organizations for the full spectrum of today’s threats – from ransomware and identity-based threats to the emerging risks around AI-enabled attacks and compromised AI systems,”
– Teemu Myllykangas, Director of Services at WithSecure.

Forrester defines Cybersecurity Incident Response Services (CIRS) as “Professional services delivered as retainers, subscriptions, or on-demand engagements that help organizations prepare for, detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents”. These services address traditional threats such as data breaches, ransomware, malware, insider threats, business email compromise, and OT and cloud compromises, as well as an expanding set of AI-related incidents, including AI-enabled attacks and the compromise, misuse, or accidental abuse of enterprise AI systems, models, and agentic workflows.
Incident Readiness and Response at WithSecure
When an incident hits, we believe every minute counts. No one plans for a breach, but organizations that prepare for one recover faster. WithSecure’s Incident Readiness and Response (IRR) service covers every stage, from building an incident response plan long before trouble starts to deploying Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) specialists in the middle of a live breach, so customers are never caught unprepared.
The offering is built around three services: proactive incident planning to increase organizational resilience, guaranteed expert access through the Elements DFIR Retainer that is commonly delivered with WithSecure’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, and on-demand emergency support for organizations without a retainer in place. The following WithSecure Incident Readiness and Response services are available:
1) Incident Readiness: plan review and development for when it matters most
Preparation starts before an incident occurs. WithSecure helps organizations review existing plans or build new ones across Incident Response, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity, tailored to each business’s risk profile and aligned to regulatory requirements.
2) Elements DFIR Retainer: SLA-backed, 24/7 access to DFIR experts
For Elements customers, the WithSecure Elements DFIR Retainer provides SLA-backed, on-demand access to WithSecure’s DFIR experts the moment a cybersecurity incident occurs. There’s no upfront commitment to pre-purchased days – services are consumed on demand at pre-agreed, discounted rates. The DFIR retainer is available as an add-on to WithSecure Elements MDR service and always included as part of the flagship WithSecure Elements Infinite service.
3) Emergency Incident Response (Walk-In): immediate expert help, no retainer required
Organizations without a retainer aren’t left on their own. WithSecure’s DFIR specialists can be engaged on demand when an incident strikes, with no prior commitment needed. Services are provided at standard day rates, subject to availability, hence WithSecure highly recommends adopting incident response services as part of Elements MDR or Infinite managed services.
Delivered entirely from Europe
WithSecure’s incident response services are delivered entirely from Europe. This keeps organizations covered while their data stays within European borders, and the people delivering the incident response services are governed by strict European privacy laws.
Amid ongoing geopolitical turmoil and increased pressure on organizations to address sovereignty needs, WithSecure is one of very few European cybersecurity incident response service providers listed as a representative vendor in the Forrester report.
Why this recognition matters now
As incidents increasingly involve AI-enabled attacks or the misuse of enterprise AI systems and agentic workflows, having a partner that delivers proactive security, flexible MDR services, and covers the entire incident lifecycle – readiness, guaranteed response, and emergency support — matters more than ever. We believe that WithSecure’s recognition by Forrester underscores the depth of that coverage and innovations delivered by WithSecure’s Co-Security Services.
