AI and LLMs from a cyber security perspective

Exploring the critical risk and cyber security aspects of adopting of artificial intelligence
and large language models

You are invited

Join us for a dynamic breakfast briefing on Tuesday 7th May to debate the place of AI in cyber security, where your participation will drive insightful discussions.

During this roundtable, we will explore the benefits and risks of adopting artificial intelligence (AI) tools and large language models (LLMs) for cyber security defence.

Criminals are increasingly using AI to attack organisations, for example by creating highly credible audio and video deepfakes designed to strengthen phishing attacks, business email compromises and invoice fraud. We will discuss how AI is changing the cyber security landscape and consider how AI, and in particular the large language models used by generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, can be used to detect and respond to these cyber threats.

We will also discuss how AI tools should be best implemented. What are the risks – technological, human and process-based – that organisations are likely to face when implementing AI-powered tools, and how can they integrate AI/LLM applications efficiently and effectively? We will reflect on the best ways of using AI when searching for possible threats, and how it can enhance any responses that organisations take when mitigating threats.

The questions we will explore:

During the meeting we will focus on topics such as:

  • How are AI technologies changing the cyber threat landscape?
  • What role does AI play in aiding malicious actors to perform attacks?
  • How can AI be leveraged for detection and response to provide more effective cyber defence?
  • How can organisations combat the use of deepfakes in social engineering attacks?
  • What are the key risks to integrating AI/LLMs in applications for autonomous agents?
  • What emerging AI technologies are most promising or concerning for future cyber-security?
